The Makeup Show Holiday Pop-Up Event Returns to New York on Dec. 7-8

Over 40 beauty companies will showcase makeup, skincare, wellness and haircare products.

Back by popular demand, The Makeup Show’s Makeup Shop is returning to New York City for the holidays. Set for Dec. 7-8 at The Metropolitan Pavilion, the event for both consumers and industry professionals showcases makeup, skincare, wellness and haircare brands.

Over 40 beauty companies will offer professional discounts and sample sale prices for the latest innovations on display. Exhibitors span from the well-known such as Pat McGrath Labs and Danessa Myricks to indies like Karma Organic Spa and Glamazon Beauty.

This weekend long pop-up offers exclusive access to discounted rates on prestige beauty products, accessories and more, said event organizers.

US consumer sentiment and intentions related to the 2024 holiday shopping season are improved compared to the last two years, according to experts at Circana, a leading advisor on the complexity of consumer behavior.

Most holiday shoppers plan to spend about the same as last year, but there is an increase in those planning on spending more, according to Circana’s annual holiday purchase intentions consumer survey.

On average, consumers plan to spend $771 on holiday shopping this year, which is 2% higher than last year’s spending intentions, according to data released by the Chicago-based company.

The Makeup Show

Overall, The Makeup Show is one of the largest professional makeup events in the United States, offering artists the “ultimate beauty experience,” said event organizers.

The show brings together more than 120 of the most exclusive beauty brands in the industry, an average of more than 5,000 artists in each city, and individuals from all over the world to learn techniques from master artists, mingle with peers and shop their favorite brands.

Owned and produced by Shelly Taggar and Alan Boss, The Makeup Show travels to NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco and Washington D.C., amongst other US states and international countries.

“The TMS Makeup Shop is really about creating a space where everyone—whether you’re a professional makeup artist or just someone who loves beauty—can come together, discover amazing products and enjoy the holidays with this incredible community,” Taggar told Happi. “We’re also excited to open the shop up to more brands so they’re something for everyone, makeup, cosmetics, candles, gifts and so much more.”
